What is an online cash register (e-Kassa)?
An e-Kassa is a new-generation cash register that transmits every sale to the State Tax Service in real time. It has two parts: the cash-register software and a control-mechanism device. Only models entered in the state registry may be used; registration, installation and technical support are provided by the official e-Kassa operators.

How do e-invoices (e-qaimə) work?
Electronic invoices have applied to VAT payers since 1 April 2017. An invoice is prepared either online — in the "Electronic invoice" subsystem of the Internet Tax Office, signed with a qualified e-signature (ASAN İmza or SİMA) — or offline in the "Elektron Faktura Tərtibatı" (eFP) program and uploaded as an adoc/edoc package. Each invoice gets a series and number; the seller can cancel a sent invoice with an e-signature.

POS terminals and banks
To accept card payments, a commercial bank (the acquirer) installs a POS terminal. The bank usually reviews the application within 3 business days after documents are submitted and registers the terminal with the tax authority electronically. Simple Kassa integrates with the POS terminals of the banks below — the card amount is sent from the till to the terminal automatically, and cash, card and QR payments are recorded separately.
